Yoga for KIDS!
Our children live in a hurry-up
world of busy parents, school pressures, after school music and dance lessons, and competitive sports. We must recognize these
are stressful activities even for children. Yoga helps counter these pressures. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem
and body awareness with a physical activity that is non-competitive. The results of Yoga for kids are enormous. Physically,
it enhances their flexibility, strength, and coordination. Concentration and a sense of calmness and relaxation improve with
yoga.
YogaKids uses simple and fun techniques to maintain their interest and keep learning accessible. YogaKids
uses experiential, whole child learning with yoga, movement, drawing, singing, riddles, touching, hearing and multisensorial
approaches.

Melanie received Phase 1 training from Yoga Kids International
in August 2004 at Spilimbergo, Italy. She is a registered associate teacher for YogaKids. Melanie has taught five week sections
at the Fisher Island Day School, Miami Beach and the Coral Springs Yoga Center in Florida.
